Voice agent
What constitutes a voice agent in Diska.
An agent is the combination of an AI persona, a conversation Flow, a voice, and a set of tools it can use during a call.
Main components
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| System instruction | Defines the persona, tone, limits and the call objective. |
| Voice | Selected provider and voice (ElevenLabs by default, with OpenAI as fallback). |
| Main Flow | The visual conversation structure, always starting at Main Flow → Before conversation → Greeting. |
| Subflows | Reusable blocks triggered by conditions or from another Flow. |
| Tools | Transfers, SMS, bookings, custom actions and webhooks. |
| Knowledge Base | A knowledge base used to answer factual questions. |
Agent types
- Inbound: answers contacts that reach the agent.
- Outbound: designed for follow-ups and reminders; automated dialing arrives with outbound telephony.
- Voice widget: a voice agent embedded on your site through the widget.
- Chat: text conversation.
Versioning
Each agent has numbered versions. Publishing creates a new live version, and the runtime always uses that published version while you keep editing the draft — edits never affect calls in progress.
