Conversation

Collect information and guide the dialogue with the Conversation node.

The Conversation node is the heart of a Flow. It's where the Agent listens to the customer, thinks, and replies, optionally collecting variables.

Fields

FieldDescription
InstructionSystem guidance specific to this step.
Expected informationWhat the Agent should try to obtain in this node.
Collect variablesList of variables with name, type, prompt and required flag.
Output variable (legacy)Single name to store the response when not using the list.

Attached actions

Besides outgoing connections, a Conversation step can carry attached actions — booking, transfer, custom action or during-call SMS — available at any moment of that step, without a dedicated node on the canvas.

Variable types

In the node panel you choose between: String (text), Number, Integer, Boolean, List, Email and Phone number. Number and Integer also accept a minimum/maximum range.

Allowed connections

Can connect to:

  • branch, message, jump, trigger_subflow, custom_action, during_call_sms, transfer, booking, end, placeholder.

Two Conversation steps never connect directly — the path between them always goes through an exit condition (Dividir o caminho / Split path node).

Example

Instruction: "Ask the customer for the reason of the call. Be brief and formal."
Variables to collect:
  - reason (text) → "What is the reason for your call?"
  - urgent (boolean) → "Is this urgent?"

Validation

  • Error if the instruction is missing.
  • Warning if neither expected information nor collect variables are set.
  • Error if any variable has an invalid name.
